Around 30 years ago, the concept of the Mardeno Patient Education Atlases was started with the first
publications in Germany in the 1980s. From the earliest beginnings the Mardeno Atlases have helped
100,000s of health care professionals explain important information on clinical issues, treatment
options and life-style rules to millions of patients. Over the years, the Mardeno Patient Education
Atlases have become a trusted, widely-used patient education source in many countries worldwide.
All atlases were developed in close cooperation with KOLs, universities and medical associations.
Today, all Mardeno Atlases are published by The Patient Education Institute, Olaf Breukhoven, based
in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and available in both printed formats (atlases, brochures, hand-outs,
posters) and as apps. All atlases have been meticulously illustrated.

Comprising of more than 2,000 illustrations, the collection of medical illustrations is now probably the
world's largest collection of modern, high-quality medical illustrations. All illustrations are available
  for licensing for your publications.
